Run for heart health!

If you feel like running for us and doing your own Great Cholesterol Challenge then we'd love to hear from you!  We are partners with Run for Charity - check out if there are any runs in your area  or drop us an email and we would be delighted to help you find something suitable.

Alternatively, you could enter one of our virtual challenges.  Take as long as you like during National Cholesterol Month and challenge yourself!  Here are just a few inspirational ideas to get you thinking!

  • Be an Olympic hero and collect your medal by running a virtual 26 mile Marathon at the Olympic Games in Rio!​
  • Go East to West in this virtual 35 mile challenges from Edinburgh to Glasgow
  • Have a virtual 73 mile run along the most scenic railway route in England – the famous Settle to Carlisle railway line

Choose which challenge suits you.  Either do the challenge on a running machine in the gym or pound the streets.  Download the RunKeeper App onto your smart phone and record the miles you run. Alternatively, if you have the iPhone 5S and above, you can record your miles with the Health App.  


Encourage your family and friends to get involved too! Open a Virgin Money or Just Giving account send the link round to family and friends (including those on your social media channels) and see how much your efforts will raise for HEART UK.
