Swim for heart health!
Swimming is generally regarded as a safe way to improve your heart rate and blood flow and to help maintain a healthy weight. Hitting the pool for a good few lengths not only helps with your general physical fitness, but it provides a number of other benefits such as breath control and muscle toning as well as being fun and making you feel good.
We are delighted to be joining forces with 222 Sports – manufacturers of SWIMTAG – (a device that lets you record your lengths) - to do another fun virtual swim for HEART UK during National Cholesterol Month. This time we will be heading out West to the stunning Colorado River in America. The Grand Canyon Swim from Guano Point to Columbine Falls is a dramatic 10 miles/16.29 virtual swim down the iconic Colorado river! For those that do not have SWIMTAG you need to do 652 lengths in a 25m pool to complete this fun virtual challenge!
If you are doing this challenge follow the link here to start your fundraising with Just Giving.
