Get involved with the Great Cholesterol Challenge – treat your heart and raise funds!
The Great Cholesterol Challenge is definitely here to stay and for our 2016 campaign, we will be running this again. The challenge is based on 'eating better, moving more' and getting sponsored for doing a sporting activity to raise funds for HEART UK.
Regular activity – such as walking, cycling, swimming or running have been shown to reduce your risk of heart disease and stroke. Being physically active helps to lower your LDL (bad) cholesterol while increasing your level of HDL (good) cholesterol and keeps blood pressure and weight in check too. With this in mind, why not treat your heart and think about getting involved this October with National Cholesterol Month 2016. Activities will be based around fun virtual sporting challenges.
