The average total cholesterol level in the
UK is 5.7
The current Joint British Guidelines state
that everybody’s total cholesterol level
should be 5 or below. If however you have been told that you at a higher risk it should be 4 or below.
As total cholesterol level rises so does the
risk of heart attack.
Can you and your patients ignore these facts?
