“I give you my assurance that I will do everything in my power to continue to deliver our vision which is to prevent premature deaths from high cholesterol a major risk factor for heart attacks and strokes”. Jules Payne, Chief Executive, HEART UK – The Cholesterol Charity
I can’t thank you enough for your help on the phone and for the information you sent. Your advice was invaluable and has helped me lower my cholesterol and lose weight too. Thank you.
‘I have had such wonderful help and support from HEART UK’s helpline. The team are so friendly and patient and it does not matter how many times I ask a question they are always there for me. It’s a wonderful service and I am so grateful to have their support. I can’t speak highly enough of the help they have given me’.
Why Support HEART UK?
Over half of all adults in England have raised cholesterol (>5mmol/L). 1 in 250 people in the UK have Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (often shortened to FH), an inherited form of high cholesterol, which means they are at high risk of a heart attack, stroke or sudden death in their 20s, 30s and 40s unless diagnosed and treated.
We are passionate about preventing early death caused by high cholesterol and HEART UK is here for anyone affected by raised cholesterol or other blood fat conditions. We bring people together, providing information, support and education and we campaign for improved diagnosis and standards of care. Read more about our impact here. With your help we can continue our life saving work preventing early death caused by high cholesterol.
