“Meeting like-minded people and supporting a worthy cause, close to my heart, has been incredible. It’s great to feel like you’re making a difference to the world”
Traci Good, HEART UK Ambassador
Become a HEART UK Ambassador
Our ambition is to reach everyone affected by high cholesterol who needs us, and we need your help to do this. We also need to raise funds to support our vital work.
By representing the charity to schools, community organisations and corporate partners, or holding fundraising events, you’ll become an Ambassador for HEART UK.
How will I be involved?
Ambassadors do all sorts for HEART UK such as:
- Handing out leaflets to local GP surgeries
- Lobbying their local MPs
- Coordinating collections
- Recruiting new supporters, volunteers and Ambassadors
- Christmas parties
- Coffee mornings
- Quiz nights
- Walks and bike rides
- Giving presentations at Rotary and WI groups
- Giving talks at schools
- Attending cheque presentations or local events
- Seeking out fundraising opportunities with local businesses
- and much, much more!
How much time do I need to give?
As much or as little as you can! We want it to work around you.
What skills do I need?
We need people who have a good knowledge of their local area, communicate well and use initiative. Speakers need to be confident about speaking in public – although we can advise on presentation skills should you need to brush up!
