The Prime Minister and MP for Maidenhead, The Rt Hon Theresa May is lending her support for National Cholesterol Month:

“I am delighted to back HEART UK’s National Cholesterol Month. National Cholesterol Month is an important opportunity to increase our understanding of high cholesterol and what we can all do to lead a healthier lifestyle. I congratulate HEART UK on the work they do to prevent premature deaths and the help they offer people with, and affected by high cholesterol. HEART UK’s work is vital for our nation’s health and I am pleased to give them my support”

“I am delighted to support HEART UK and to help educate people about the dangers of not knowing or treating high cholesterol. Whether it is campaigning for better access to vital medication, advising health professionals on the latest developments or supporting patients uncertain of their options, HEART UK does a great job in raising awareness and plays an invaluable role supporting heart health. I’m also really impressed by the thousands of individuals who have taken up the Great Cholesterol Challenge to fundraise for HEART UK – good luck to them all!”

National Cholesterol Month

National Cholesterol Month 2016 is over for another year and we made an amazing £38,438.  Thanks to everyone who got involved and helped us to raise this amount. Read here about the impact of our work and how we spend the money you raised.

Plans are in hand for a great National Cholesterol Month this October.  For those that are not familiar with the campaign, National Cholesterol Month is an entire month devoted to raising awareness of the dangers of high cholesterol and raising funds to help us continue providing our vital life-saving work. The main event of the campaign is The Great Cholesterol Challenge where we ask people to get involved with one of our fun virtual sporting challenges to raise funds for HEART UK.  We are still at the planning stage so keep an eye on these pages for more information!

In the meantime, email fundraising if you or your company would like to make a difference and get involved this October; we would be delighted to hear from you.

We receive no government funding and in order to keep The Cholesterol Helpline and our other services running, we rely on the generosity of people like you.  You can help!  Get involved with National Cholesterol Month and help us reach our target of £50,000.

Thank you
